Double Wedding Weekend

Aaron and Stephanie Bush

On Friday, I made the trek to Janesville, Wisconsin, with my mom and Uncle Al for my cousin Steph's wedding. She got married at the Rotary Gardens in Janesville, which is beautiful. Steph and Aaron got married in the sunken garden, and amazingly it wasn't flooded like some other parts of the gardens. Some rain came through earlier in the afternoon, and that even cleared out before the ceremony so that they had gorgeous sunshine. It was beautiful!

Steph has two daughters, and the girls were incorporated into all aspects of the ceremony, which was really neat. Some of the most touching parts of the ceremony involved signifying the girls, Steph, and Aaron becoming one family.

It was a wonderful trip, and a great chance to catch up with some family that I don't get to see very often. Congrats to Steph and Aaron!

Ben and Annette Farmer

On Saturday morning, Steve and I headed from Arlington Heights down to Champaign for another wedding. Ben Farmer, a friend of ours from college and actually one of our groomsmen, wed his longtime girlfriend, Annette. The ceremony was beautiful, and the reception, held at the student union on the University of Illinois campus, was a blast.

Steve and I had a fantastic time in Champaign. Besides the obvious joy we felt at being able to share in the special day of two fantastic people, we were excited to check out campus and visit with many old friends. Congratulations to Ben and Annette!
