Rodeo Parade

Last weekend, Franklin hosted the annual Franklin Rodeo. In anticipation, there is a short rodeo parade that went through downtown the weekend before. We went to see it because the weather was great, we were curious what would be in a rodeo parade, and honestly, who doesn't love a parade?

These three certainly had a blast!

So, what did we see in the rodeo parade? Well, parts of it were a lot like a typical parade, with a grand marshall, members of the armed forces, and three different marching bands. There were a few things that were different from anything we had seen before...

... such as the cowboys and cowgirls that opened the parade. These did make sense, though, given that it was a RODEO parade.

Before too long, we saw these small semi trucks driving down the street... three feet high... with one full-grown man sitting inside of each. Odd.

This was the most "unique" part of the parade - a bail bond business. Yes, we googled them, and Grumpy's does actually work in the business of bail bonds. A four wheeler hauling a trailer, made to look like a jail, with a woman sitting on top throwing frisbees to the crowd is not something you see every day.
