Drying out

Things are getting better in Franklin. The pictures below are from Aspen Grove Park on Monday morning.

Throughout the day on Monday, things were still tough as many of the main roads in town were closed, but as of midday today, only a few smaller roads are still blocked by water. Water is slowly draining from parks and basements and houses throughout our town.

Nashville was behind Franklin in flooding because most of their problems were not caused directly by rain, but rather as the runoff came from tributaries. Things started to flood on Sunday night, and by Monday night there was a lot of damage. Apparently, the Grand Old Opry and the Opryland Hotel are under 10 feet of water. You can see some pictures here and here.

Thank you for all of the thoughts and prayers and well-wishes!

Oy, it's no fun being water logged.

Love the pictures your boys took--funny stuff ;)
