End-of-Summer Fun

W0w - Labor Day weekend has already come and gone. How is that possible?! It seems like just yesterday that it was Memorial Day weekend and Steve was starting work, and now I look up to see that three months have flown by. Yikes! We were lucky enough to have Steve home for four days this weekend, which was wonderful. We made sure to take advantage of the time to get out and have some end-of-summer fun!

We had a pretty laid back day on Friday, with a visit to the pediatrician for a check-up and the park. In the evening, some friends that we met in Michigan (and now have a place in Wicker Park) came over for dinner. It was great to catch-up - thanks, Bryan and Miranda!

After some yardwork on Saturday, we headed to the pool with the fellas. This is the last weekend the outdoor pools are open, so we wanted to take advantage. We all got into the fun! (See pics below) That evening, some of our neighbors invited us over for a barbeque, and it was great to get the chance to sit down and visit. Sunday was filled with travels to Chicago and Joliet (see next posts), and then Monday was spent here, cleaning the house and working on odd jobs (like FINALLY unpackng the guest room!).

It really was a great weekend, and I hope you all had as much fun as we did!

Look at that gorgeous Ingmire family! I'm glad you all had a great weekend. We did too. It's good to enjoy this good weather while we can, right??? Of course, since we have a friend in Dallas, winter should be no big deal this year, right? :)
