Steve and his dad playing baseball on the Wii
Once our family left, we headed out to the red park to spend some time with our good friends before Lorin, Izzy, and Ryan left Michigan for the last time and headed off to Utah with their grandparents. Below is a picture of our family with the Maynors, Costleys, and Gauchers at the park.
The rest of Saturday and almost the whole day Sunday were spent packing in preparation for our movers to show up on Monday. We did have a last "eat up the random food and play Wii" dinner on Sunday night with the Maynors, Costleys, and Gauchers, which was a lot of fun and a good mental and physical break from the packing that went on well into the night.
On Monday morning, the movers showed up to take all of our things to Illinois. It was bittersweet as we said goodbye to all of our friends for a long time to come. Thank goodness for email, right?! That afternoon, our family drove to Illinois. Brandon and Evan stayed Monday night with Papa Wayne and Grandma Jane while Steve and I continued up to the house in Arlington Heights to be ready for the movers' arrival bright and early the next day.
Tuesday came and went without a hitch. The movers did a good job and were quick unloading all of our things. Steve and I were able to get quite a bit of unpacking done on Tuesday before Grandma Jane brought the fellas back, and they were relieved to find their room put together and all of their toys in the family room. We are all excited about the new house. I hope to post pictures soon - once rooms are in their "final" clean and put-together state. :)
We spent Wednesday and Thursday doing odds and ends around the house - picking up supplies at Home Depot, going grocery shopping, getting new drivers licenses, etc. Then, it was time to pack up and head out for our next trip to Bloomington, Indiana, for Katie's graduation!
