Wild, Crazy, and Incredibly Fun Weekend

This past weekend has marked the beginning of the end for us here in Ann Arbor. :( We have had such a great time here, it is sad to see it come to an end.

On Thursday, Steve and I went out to dinner with our friends the Costleys and the Maynors. We have gone on quite a few joint dates over the last two years, the first of which was at the Outback Steakhouse, so we headed back there to reminisce. It was a fantastic night!

We had another big day on Friday. Aunt Joyce and Uncle Jerry came over in the afternoon to visit and babysit the boys so Steve and I could go out with some friends. We ended up at Kerri and Cory's for dinner and then headed out to the Diamondback Saloon with a big group of MBAs and their partners for a Disorientation Week party. The Diamondback is a country line-dancing bar, and believe it or not, Steve actually got out on the floor to line dance - twice! :)

On Saturday morning, we got to visit some more with the Roslunds before I headed off to brunch with a large group of partners at Cafe Zola, a fantastic restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor. They have delicious crepes on their brunch menu, but the food was second to the great company. It was so great to sit down and visit with so many friends from the last two years.

On Saturday night, Steve and I headed out once again to a semiformal dance for MBA2s and their partners. We stopped with some friends for wine and snacks, and then headed over to the Washtenaw Country Club for the dance. We had a blast! It was so much fun to have the chance to dress up and go out and catch up with friends!

Today, we went to a Disorientation Week picnic at a local park, with games for the kids and a kickball tournament for the MBAs. We all had a blast playing outside all afternoon!

We were at the park from noon until 3:30pm, and the boys crashed when we got home. After a nice long nap, we all had some dinner and then headed out for a trek to Dairy Queen. It was a great ending to a FANTASTIC weekend! :)

Now, if only the packing fairies would come and pack up our home for us, that would be great! :)
