Life Now :)

In the last month, as you have seen, a lot has happened! We have been chugging along here with two brand-spanking-new two-year-old boys. "Two two-year-old boys..." that phrase alone can probably bring to mind exactly what our house is like these days. It was almost like a switch flipped on their birthday, changing my sweet little one-year-old toddlers into independent, strong-willed, stubborn two-year-olds! Steve and I are exhausted at the end of the day (and sometimes only an hour into a day!) because the boys need so much interaction and guidance.

On the other hand, the fellas are learning to say more and more words every day. Just this week, we have heard a few pronouns jumping in: it, him, and my are just a few. This language growth has allowed them to have actual phone conversations with people. Rather than just answering yes-or-no questions, Brandon and Evan will answer other questions and bring up their own ideas in the conversation.

The boys' second birthday has really forced me to reflect on how far they have come in the last year. It is hard to believe that the boys only said three or four words at this time last year and were just starting to really walk. Now, they talk a mile a minute at times, and one of their favorite pastimes is running! They grew five and a half inches but gained only about five pounds - its amazing how much they stretched upwards! Gone are the cute little rolls on their legs - we have two little BOYS.

Thanks to everyone who has continued to support our entire family over the past year. We wouldn't survive on this crazy ride without you!

(I know, I know... no smiles, but we couldn't get them to sit still, let alone smile!) :)
